Four Hampshire libraries to temporarily close for improvement works - dates and details

Four libraries in Hampshire will temporarily close for improvement works.

The closures in Stubbington, Havant, Leigh Park and Romsey will allow Hampshire County Council to prepare its libraries to be community hubs and warm spaces during the winter. Children’s sections will also be improved.

Work at the four libraries will take place between October and November.

The county council said that the short closures would cause minimal disruption to library operations.

The closures in full:

  • Stubbington Library will close on October 24 and 27.
  • Romsey Library will be shut from October 27 to 28.
  • Havant Library will close from November 3 to 4.
  • Leigh Park Library will shut from November 13 to 14.
