Clear-up operation begins as travellers leave Paulsgrove playing fields after a ten-day stay
Travellers were at the site in Portsmouth for ten days
A clear-up operation has been taking place this afternoon after a group of travellers left a site in Paulsgrove.

The caravans arrived at playing fields off Allaway Avenue on June 12 and have only now left the site after enforcement action to get them to leave.
Staff from Portsmouth City Council have been on site this afternoon to clear the site after large amounts of rubbish, garden waste and even old tyres were left at the site. The travellers were originally expected to be told to leave before the weekend.
A spokesperson for Portsmouth City Council said: "The unauthorised encampment has now left the site following a joint response between the council and police.
“Our staff have secured the site and are working to clear the area."
