Pickleball enthusiasts compete in 24 hour Comic Relief challenge at The Clanfield Centre

Dedicated pickleball players have taken part in a 24 hour challenge to raise money for charity over the weekend.

Staff at The Clanfield Centre, in Endal Way, worked round the clock over the weekend to successfully host a 24 hour pickleball challenge to raise money for Comic Relief, which will take place on March 20, 2026.

The event, which saw more than 120 people take part, commenced on Friday, February 20 from midday, with players being able to vie in two hour slots across the 24 hour period.

A spokesperson for The Clanfield Centre said: “Thank you so much to all our players, to our incredible staff working through the night and to everyone that’s made a donation to such a great cause.”

So far the Just Giving page has raised £1,036, with 55 people donating to the cause. For more information about the fundraiser, click here.
