Despite the restrictions of coronavirus lockdown, the group have sold CDs, held raffles and collected public donations. Before lockdown restrictions were imposed the group had already held a number singing nights, taken part in Christmas events and held bingo nights to raise the money.

Since being formed in 2004 the choir group select a different charity each year to benefit from its fundraising.

Choir member, Diana Carver, commented: ‘Cancer is a scary thing for adults let alone children. My reason for choosing the charity is so that hopefully the donation will go towards making the children feel less anxious and frightened.’
