Shopping centre to offer free family fun as part of Fareham's Big Weekend

Fareham Shopping Centre has announced its participation in Fareham’s Big Weekend taking place this Saturday and Sunday (July 4 and 5).

While Fareham Borough Council is spearheading a spectacular, town-wide line-up of entertainment, the shopping centre will serve as a central hub for free, family-friendly fun right in the heart of the community.

Families visiting the centre over the weekend can head down to Delme Square between 11am and 3pm on both days, where children can enjoy free face painting and glitter tattoos. Whether your little ones want to transform into their favourite superhero or add some sparkle to their weekend, these activities are completely free of charge, making it the perfect addition to a budget-friendly family day out.

In addition to the magic in Delme Square, visitors to the shopping centre can enjoy the popular free Pop-Up Beach located just outside B&M, alongside soft play areas for under-5s and table tennis.

The wider Fareham’s Big Weekend event, organised by Fareham Borough Council, will run from 10am to 4pm across both days. The town centre will burst into life with artisan markets, live music at the bandstand, street performers, funfair rides, and interactive workshops stretching from West Street to the Civic Gardens.

Mike Taylor, centre manager, said: "We are thrilled to be part of Fareham’s Big Weekend. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring the community together, and we can’t wait to add some extra colour and sparkle to our shoppers' weekend with our free activities in Delme Square."

Shoppers are encouraged to make a full day of it by exploring the town-wide festivities, supporting local businesses, and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
