Residents in Waterlooville have been hit with an unexpected power cut due to an “ongoing incident”.

Power provider GTC said it is aware of an outage impacting residents in the PO7 area. “We are currently investigating and an estimated time of restoration will be available shortly,” the firm said in a statement.

The firm added: “We did not know in advance that there would be a power cut but now that we are aware, our engineers are carrying out investigations and we will aim to get your lights back on as quickly as possible.

“We apologise for the inconvenience, and we will let you know the estimated time of restoration shortly.”
