You may not have seen Dom Whiting’s Drum & Bass on The Bike in Portsmouth yesterday but you more than likely heard it.
The DJ brought his popular viral mobile rave to Portsmouth on Sunday, September 27 as cyclists gathered in big numbers to tail Dom and his customised bikes around the city. Meeting at Clarence Pier, the event saw a large number of cyclists join the party with it being the second time that it has taken place in the city.
Addressing the crowd ahead of the ride, Dom said: “It was just so amazing last year that we had to return this year. My inbox has been full of people saying you have done Bournemouth, you have done Brighton, come back to Portsmouth.”
Drum & Bass on The Bike was started by Dom during the pandemic as a way to rediscover human connection through music and cycling. It has become and eagerly anticipated event in cities up and down the country.
Even a damp and cloudy day in Southsea could not dampen spirits as Dom and his army of ravers rode round the city raising smiles wherever they went.
