Queen Alexandra Hospital at Cosham announces changes to car parking rules

A PORTSMOUTH hospital has announced changes to its car parking rules.

Parking tickets at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham will no longer be issued following the launch of a new recognition system.

The hospital has issued a new parking payment system at their South Multi Storey Car Park.

The car park now has Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras meaning tickets will no longer be issued.

Visitors must instead pay at the car park’s pay meters and input their vehicle registration number.

Writing on Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust earlier this afternoon, a spokesperson said: ‘For anyone with concession parking, including disabled drivers and those who have been given a concession from the ward or department, please attend the reception desk with your blue badge or concession slip on your way out.’

Visitors can also pay for their parking using the JPass app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
