Power restored for Waterlooville residents after outage with reason given for unexpected incident

Residents hit by a power cut in Waterlooville should now have power restored - with a reason given for the unexpected outage.
Customers in the PO75UY area were left without power this morning before provider GTC investigated the incident.
The firm has now announced power should be back on and said in an update: “We would like to apologise for the disruption caused by the earlier outage. All customers should now be restored.
“The interruption was due to a high voltage incident on the electrical network. If your power has not been restored, please check your consumer unit for any switches that may have tripped. Should you still be experiencing issues please contact us on 0800 032 6990.”
