Portsmouth woman in her 40s suffered 'minor injuries' in e-scooter crash in Hilsea
POLICE have confirmed that an e-scooter was involved in a crash in Hilsea that left a woman injured.
Hampshire Constabulary were called at 10.57am on April 23 to a report of a collision between the e-scooter and a red Vauxhall Astra.

The ride of the scooter, a woman in her 40s, was treated for minor injuries by paramedics before being taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.

Two PCs assisted roads policing officers with a road traffic controller at the scene outside the Shell Garage in London Road.
The Portsmouth Police Facebook page said: ‘We have posted a lot in the past about the issues with e-scooters, and this is the danger of riding them on the road.
‘An e-scooter has been seized but we don’t think that it will be used anytime soon.
‘In order to use an e-scooter on the road you need a drivers licence, insurance and tax.’
Hampshire Constabulary said that the incident is under investigation.
Portsmouth City Council is running a trial with Voi where its scooters are legal to use. Private e-scooters are not allowed on public roads.
