Portsmouth fish and chip shops offer free chips to beat Blue Monday

FISH and chip shops across Portsmouth are offering free chips to customers in a bid to beat Blue Monday.

Customers to Deep Blue restaurants and takeaways will receive the offer by purchasing cod or haddock on Monday January 20 – Blue Monday.

The third Monday of January is widely recognised as the most depressing day of the year, considering the weather conditions,

returning to work and school from the Christmas break, and households experiencing a lack of money.
