Portsmouth dancer joins international online fashion show - from her conservatory
A DANCER has strutted her stuff alongside more than 200 women from countries all over the world as part of an empowering fashion show.
Billie Webber from Portsmouth is used to travelling the world and performing to crowds every night but, like everyone else, the 24-year-old is in lockdown at her home.

But her conservatory is now world-famous as it provided her backdrop for an international Zoom Catwalk Show for Bluebella lingerie.
The brand had to cancel its runway event due to the Covid-19 outbreak but instead got 200 women from 14 different countries, from all backgrounds, ethnicities, plus size, disabled, and LGBTQ+ to join in the fashion show from their homes and showcase its new collection.

Billie said: ‘It was super fun dancing around my house in beautiful underwear. I got to watch a group of people from all over the world and from different backgrounds come together.
‘It was amazing seeing so much love from people I’d never met. It was such a lovely experience and one I shall remember.’
Billie, who had a dancing contract in Spain cancelled due to the pandemic, takes one of the more prominent roles in the show which featured students, top executives, social media influencers and even a veterinarian

The former Admiral Lord Nelson School pupil said: ‘I saw an advert on social media and thought why not. I had done a bit of modelling before and I dance for living so it was so lovely to be able to be a part of it.’
Bluebella founder and chief executive Emily Bendell said: ‘The Covid-19 pandemic has restricted the fashion industry so much and a regular runway show now and in the near term is unthinkable.‘Rather than be constrained we saw this as an opportunity to celebrate our extraordinary Instagram family. We were keen to incorporate our influencers and create a street-style feel to the video, and the response and spirit and sense of community between the girls that this project has created has been simply amazing.’
