Police give update on serious crash involving lorry and car close to M27 on A326

As reported, the A326 at Totton is closed in both directions between the A35 and Fletchwood Road due to a serious collision. Police said they were called at 3.16am to the collision on the road which links to the M27 at junction 2.

Drivers have been advised to use other routes with a police spokesperson saying: “There is no access from Monkton Lane and we expect that the road will be closed for most of the morning, so we would ask that you please find an alternative route.

“HGVs and other traffic heading to and from Fawley should use the M271/ A35/ A326 exit from the Rushington Roundabout. We thank you for your patience while emergency services deal with the incident.”
