Major missing person search in the Solent continues into a second day

A SEARCH and rescue operation for a missing person in the Solent is back underway today.

HM Coastguard and other crews are out on the water for a second day after a white and burgundy jetski was found in the eastern Solent with a phone on board.

The jetski is a Yamaha Waverunner with a ‘201 Langstone Harbour’ sticker attached and the killcord, designed to stop the jetski if the rider falls off, not attached.

‘Please contact either Hants police or the coastguard with any information.’

A spokesman from HM Coastguard said: ‘If you have information regarding the owner of the jetski please call HM Coastguard on (023) 9255 2100.’
