Large firefighter response to Portsmouth tower block
A large firefighter response was deployed to a Portsmouth tower block this afternoon.
Around 10 fire trucks were spotted attending to Pickwick House in Wingfield Street, Buckland, around 3pm.
But fears a fire had broken out proved to be “nothing” according to a spokesperson for Southsea Fire Station - with the incident turning out to be a “false alarm”.
The crew returned to base around 3.30pm.
