Kind-hearted Fareham children brighten up their street by giving neighbours colourful pictures
THREE siblings have been brightening up their Fareham street by creating colourful pictures to cheer up their neighbours.
Artistic creations, some of which took hours to design, have been gifted to people living near to generous youngsters Finlie, Ebonie and Tobbie Hynd, who have also offered to get essential shopping for elderly residents.

The kind-hearted trio came up with the idea to bring some happiness to their cul-de-sac and have created more than 20 pictures - to the delight of neighbours, who have sent thankyou cards and even chocolates in response.
Eight-year-old Tobbie and his older siblings Ebonie, 10, and 12-year-old Finlie, asked the recipients to show off their bright gifts in their windows, so the whole street could be decorated with their artwork.

Proud mum Natalie said: ‘It’s such a dreary time, this is the simplest thing to do but it’s something nice to make people smile.
‘They’re becoming aware of people who aren’t as lucky as them. If there’s anything they can do to make people smile, they will.’
She added: ‘The children have had some cards through the door and even some chocolate from the neighbours saying how kind this was that they were thinking of them all. I’m super proud of all of them for being thoughtful!’

The children, who attend Henry Cort Community College and Ranvilles Junior School, have enjoyed getting to know their neighbours so much, their next step will be to create some Easter pictures for nearby care homes.
Natalie said: ‘We have lived in our street for four years and we never really knew anyone’s names, but now we do.
‘Everything’s going to get better and if someone’s day can be made better by having a picture then that’s how I want to teach my children.’
