Heroine reveals how she 'grabbed' desperate woman about to jump off M27 bridge
A heroine has revealed how she “grabbed” a desperate woman suffering her “darkest moment” who was about to jump off an M27 bridge to end her life.

The woman was on her way to work when she saw the precariously placed female on the bridge between junction 8 and 9 on Monday around 4pm.
Without any hesitation, she went to help the desperate woman who had climbed over the side of the bridge - before she was pulled back to safety.
Recalling the incident, the brave hero said: “I was the person who grabbed her and held her until others could help lift her back over the barrier.
“I’m so pleased to hear that she got the right help afterwards. I couldn’t stay after the rescue as I was due at work but an off duty officer arrived.
“While no thanks is ever necessary in these situations I’d like her to know that I’ve seen her message in the article and that I wish her all the very best. I’ve been thinking of her non-stop since (Monday).”
She said: “(Monday), at one of my lowest moments, I very nearly ended my life over the M27. A few strangers came to help, they spoke to me, stayed with me, and chose to support me through something I couldn’t face alone.
“Thank you for pulling me over the bridge and making sure I was okay. In a moment of pure helplessness it felt like my only choice but I am already so thankful I was saved.
“There aren’t really words big enough to say thank you, but I hope you somehow know the impact you had. Your kindness, your patience, and your willingness to help a stranger meant everything.
“Because of you, I’m still here. You reminded me that even in the darkest moments, there are still people who care. Thank you for being those people, you’re all amazing. Please reach out if you need help, don’t let it get to this point.”
