Hampshire fire service dismantles shed to remove two-metre long snake from Portsmouth garden
A firefighter was called to a Portsmouth home after a two-metre long snake was found in the garden.
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service animal rescue specialist was called to a garden in Portsmouth yesterday afternoon (June 18) after a large cornsnake was found underneath the shed.

A fire service spokesperson said: “Working alongside an RSPCA inspector, the HIWFRS officer attended the property on Ranelagh Road after a call from the police at around half 12. The shed was dismantled to free the two-metre long snake before it was taken onto a specialist vet by the RSPCA whilst the animal’s owner is found.”
