The businesswoman has owned guinea pigs for the last thirty years and she has formed a love for the animal so much so that she spent years researching the best natural foods to feed them.
She set up Piggie Parcels to provide specialised food for guinea pigs based on their needs.
Amanda found her inspiration from her own cute guinea pigs and she has even created a ‘guinea piggery’ which has lights, CCTV, heating and wifi to make her pets comfortable.
Here is eight photos of Amanda’s guinea pigs that inspired her business idea:

5. Napoleon
Napoleon is 4 years old and he is a real character, he loves to sit and watch everything that’s going on in the garden each day and he likes pea flakes before bedtime. Photo: Amanda Beamish

6. Libby
Libby is a ‘Swiss’ guinea pig breed and they require lots of grooming. Photo: Libby

7. Daphne and Josephine
The newest additions to the Piggie Parcels gang that have just joined are these 8 week old babies, Daphne and Josephine. They were born in a local rescue and went to live with Amanda to keep Buttercup company. Photo: Daphne and Josephine

8. Wellington
Wellington is 2 years old and was surrendered as he was thought to be aggressive and not getting on with another Guinea Pig. Unfortunately it’s all too common for people to be told their guinea pigs are aggressive and can’t be bonded with another guinea pig, when really they are showing normal bonding behaviour. Luckily for Wellington, he bonded well with one of Amanda's boys and they have lived happily together for the past few years and actually Wellington is the most chilled guinea pig she has ever had.
