Great British Bake Off: Dave Friday from Waterlooville survives to bake another week
RAINBOW bagels and gratefulness in bread form were two of the challenges the bakers faced this week.
It was bread week on Channel 4’s Great British Bake Off and Dave Friday, from Waterlooville, and his fellow bakers were set three challenges by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

Dave got praise for the baking of his soda breads from judge Prue Leith for his cheesy bacon and chilli chocolate soda breads but told he needed to improve on the taste.
Prue said: ‘[These are] two very good loaves but you just need a bit more flavour’.
The 30-year-old security guard came second to last during the rainbow bagel technical challenge with Paul describing his bagels as ‘overproved’.
For the showstopper challenge, the contestants had to bake something they were grateful for, and with Dave expecting a baby boy with girlfriend Stacey, his bake showcased the couple and their home in mango and chilli and hibiscus and guava breads – inspired by a holiday to Mexico.
The judges said it as ‘too dry and overbaked’.
Despite not being his best week, Dave survived to bake another week with fellow baker Rowan being sent out.
Mark E was given star baker.
