Girls football team creates fun toilet roll challenge video after near-unbeaten season is cancelled
A TEAM who were set to become champions of their football league have pulled together to create a fun video after fixtures were cancelled.
Dedicated girls from Widbrook United under-12s, based in Havant, were left disappointed when the season was cancelled after they had won all their games except one and were set to be promoted.
To keep their spirits up and get the girls working as a team again, parent Hannah Cassap decided to encourage the team to join in with a TikTok video where they appear to pass a toilet roll to each other, before it is saved by their keeper.
Hannah, whose daughters Evie and Izzie are on the team, said: ‘They were a little bit downhearted about not being crowned champions so we wanted to do something to keep their spirits up.

‘It was to give the girls something to do while they’re not training.’
The team, which is led by manager Chris Cooper and assistant Kevin Fry, have been together for three seasons and quite a few had never played the sport before joining the squad.
Hard work from the girls and their coaches Lily Moore and Nicole Dixon have led to Widbrook United under 12s having three of the top five highest goal scorers in their league.

They are supported by local running company On The Whistle, who have provided kit and tracksuits, and Denmead Garage Services who sponsor the team’s away kit.
Hannah said: ‘Every single one of them who plays is 100 per cent dedicated, they put everything into it. All of them are really passionate about their game and working together as a team.
‘It’s very much a community, we all get on very well and we do stuff outside of football. It’s really a sport that has brought all these girls together.’
Their final game before the season was cancelled saw the team come away with a 15-0 win, showing how far they have come in the three seasons they have spent together.
