Cyclist taken to QA Hospital after collision with a car
A CYCLIST has been taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital after a collision with a car.
South Central Ambulance Service was called to the crash in Crookhorn Lane, Widley, at 6.25am.
A spokeswoman for the service said: ‘We had on scene an ambulance crew and a rapid response vehicle who were assessing and treating one casualty.
‘That patient was treated at the scene and then taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital.’
A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman confirmed it was the cyclist who received minor injuries.
First Buses was forced to amend the route of one of its services after the collision blocked Crookhorn Lane.
It said in a statement to customers: ‘Due to an RTC on Crookhorn Roundabout all northbound 7 services are required to turn left into Stakes Road and then right into Westbrook Grove, Elizabeth Road and back onto Stakes Hill Road. Southbound buses are currently unaffected.
