Cosham girl Demi Jones goes on first date in Love Island

ON HER first night in the Love Island villa, Cosham girl Demi Jones got to pick three boys to cook her dinner.

The 21-year-old style advisor at Mint Velvet in Gunwharf Quays chose 20-year-old Finn Tapp who made her a starter of prawn and mushroom bruschetta.

The pair enjoyed a flirty date in the villa in Cape Town, South Africa, as the other islanders watched on.

When Finn asked why she had come on the ITV2 series, she said: ‘I am ready to settle. I had a year of fun but I have missed the commitment side.

‘When I am in a relationship I am very committed to that person.’

Finn is currently coupled up with Scot Paige Turley who seemed less than impressed by the date despite also being chosen to go on a date with new boy Wallace Wilson.

The University of Winchester graduate with a degree in archaeology and history said: ‘If I’m coupled up with someone I’m not happy with and if there’s someone I vibe with, I will have to say something, I’ll have to get my feelings across.

‘If I started falling for someone that a girl had feelings for or had a thing with in the past, I’d have to be honest and not be all sly about it. I would like to say I’m 99 per cent loyal.

‘However, if my boyfriend or someone I’m talking to is not giving me the right attention or affection then my eyes could start wandering.’

Demi will carry on her dates in tonight’s episode with Luke Mabbot, who will be preparing her a main course, and Nas Majeed, who will be serving dessert.

Love Island airs daily on ITV2 at 9pm
