We know we attract the tourists, but there is also plenty to be thankful for and enjoy as a local resident. Here are nine reasons our city and surrounding area will be the most glorious place to be this summer – and one reason why it’s not.
9. Wonderful walks
Whether it is coastline, countryside or woodland you are looking for there are so many wonderful walks to enjoy in and around the city. We have so many fabulous strolls on offer along our coastline, but also have some spectacular country parks and woods to explore too. Photo: The News
10. And now for the reason it is not so great - traffic
The biggest downside so far of living in our wonderful area of the South Coast is the traffic. We need the tourists to boost our local economy and with so many fabulous things happening locally it is no surprise we attract visitors from far and wide. But there are times when Portsea Island and its surrounding area can be choc a block with traffic.
