THANKS to lockdown we could all do with a bit of zing to help distinguish each day in confinement from the next.

Pancake Day yesterday was just the flipping ticket, and readers of The News sent in dozens of snaps of their sweet and savoury creations to celebrate.

Of course, it’s now Ash Wednesday. But unless you’ve given up pancakes for Lent, this sumptuous selection of 25 of their best photos might just inspire you to use up yesterday’s spare eggs, milk and flour for tonight’s tea. Yum!
