Man who jumped out of moving car on M27 this morning hospitalised with serious injuries

Police officers closed the M27 in both directions in the early hours of this morning after a man jumped out of a moving car near Fareham.

The air ambulance service also attended the scene with a spokesperson confirming a doctor and a specialist paramedic “treated the patient before returning to base.”

Police have now confirmed that a 28-year-old man has been hospitalised with serious injuries as a result of the incident.

National Highways South East took to X just before 2am this morning saying: “The #M27 between #Southampton and #Portsmouth is closed in both directions between J11 and J12. This is due to a serious incident Hampshire emergency services are dealing with.”
