Fareham Leisure Centre "thrilled" to open new splashpad following major £220,000 refurbishment
Fareham Leisure Centre has said it is “thrilled” to open its splashpad following a £220,000 refurbishment.
Everyone Active, which manages the centre in partnership with Fareham Borough Council, has fully funded a major refurbishment at the Fareham Leisure to encourage more children to engage in water-based activities.
The fully refurbished Splashpad has been redesigned with new features and improved safety measures, to create a fresh, fun environment.

“This upgrade adds exciting new features that make the Splashpad a fun and engaging experience for children. We can’t wait to see children from across the local community enjoying the new space.”
Suitable for children up to the age of eight, the state-of-the-art water play facility features an Eco Splash, which includes whale, ray and tipping bucket splash elements - all designed to keep younger children engaged and active.
The facility can accommodate up to 40 people at any one time, combining the teaching pool and Splashpad usage.
Cllr Connie Hockley, executive member for leisure and community at Fareham Borough Council, added: “It’s so important that children feel confident and safe in the water, and facilities like the indoor Splashpad at Fareham Leisure Centre make learning and play enjoyable, while helping to build skills that will stay with them for life.
“I am delighted with the refurbishment and encourage parents to bring their children along very soon.”
The Splashpad is included in the leisure centre’s membership packages. Non-members can also enjoy “pay and play” options, with one-hour slots bookable up to two weeks in advance.
