Kleenex bins '˜Mansize' tissues after sexism complaints
Kleenex has binned '˜Mansize' branding from its tissue boxes after receiving complaints that the name is sexist.Â
The product, which has been on the shelf for 60 years, will be remained '˜Extra Large'.Â

Kleenex has made the decision to ditch the '˜Mansize' branding after growing public demand for the name to be changed.Â
The company has not revealed when the '˜Extra Large' tissue boxes would be hitting the shelves, but has told customers to keep an eye out for them.Â

Kimberley-Clark, which owns Kleenex, is making the branding change despite believing the product does not promote '˜gender inequality'.Â
In a statement given to the Daily Telegraph, a spokesman said that despite this the company had registered a '˜consistent increase of complaints on gender concern' in relation to the '˜Mansize' tissues.Â
He added: '˜Kimberly-Clark in no way suggests that being both soft and strong is an exclusively masculine trait, nor do we believe that the Mansize branding suggests or endorses gender inequality.
'˜Nevertheless, as we remain committed to developing the best possible products for our consumers and take any feedback extremely seriously.'
The re-branding will only impact big boxes of '˜Mansize' tissues at the moment, Kimberly-Clark has said, but the compact boxes will be renamed next year.Â
