Gosport Michaelmas Fair hailed a '˜huge success'
THE organisers of a recent fair in Gosport have thanked residents for their support of the event.
The Rotary Club of Gosport, which helped to organise the Michaelmas Fair on September 29, says that the event was a huge success.
Julie Edwards from the Rotary Club of Gosport said: '˜The Alverstoke Michaelmas Fayre was a huge success with over 180 stalls and over £25,000 raised by the various charities that were there.
'˜The weather could not have been better and  thousands of local people flooded into the village.'
