Elderly man brought to safety by 'concerned' officers in Fareham after walking at 4am on his own
An elderly man was brought to safety by police after being seen walking on his own in the early hours.
The pensioner was spotted in Gosport Road near Market Quay Roundabout, Fareham, at 4am on March 28. He was using a rollator at the time.

Police said it was a chance encounter and officers were in the right place at the right time to support him. A social media statement said: “Concerned for his safety, officers stopped to check on his welfare.
“After speaking with him, it became clear he needed some additional support. Officers confirmed his details and pointed him in the right direction.
“However when it became clear he was struggling to make his own way home, the officers assisted him safely back home. A Safeguarding Referral has been submitted so that his GP and Adult Services are made aware and can provide any ongoing support he may need.
“We’re glad we were able to help and ensure he got home safely.”
