Soldiers from across the south join new Coronavirus testing team
SOLDIERS from across the area are being deployed as part of a nationwide coronavirus response force.
About 7,500 armed forces personnel are being mobilised to man critical testing hubs.

They will help to provide the UK’s rapid tests for Covid-19, capable of producing results in 15 minutes.
A spokeswoman for the army said: ‘The army has several units across the country on standby to once again provide support and assistance in the UK’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Although at this time we can not specify specific regiments; however, it can be expected that units from the south east will be included.’
