A woman died at the scene
Police have given an update after a woman was killed when a car ploughed into her and another pedestrian in a Gosport supermarket car park.
Police were called at 12.06pm on Friday 21 August to a report of a collision in the car park of Morrisons on Walpole Road, as reported. A massive emergency service response attended with the car park closed.
“It was reported that a grey Kia Soul was driven into the car park before colliding with two pedestrians and several other parked and moving vehicles,” police said.
“One of the pedestrians, a woman in her 80s, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. A second person reported minor injuries.
“We will be reviewing CCTV and other lines of enquiry, but would also like to speak to any witnesses and anyone with relevant dash cam footage.”
Nearly two months on from the incident police have said no one has been arrested. The investigation remains open as enquiries continue.
