A robber is wanted by police with officers trying to track him down.
William Campbell, 40, is wanted by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary on recall to prison. He has been previously serving a sentence for robbery.
The force have been making enquiries to try and locate Campbell, of Southampton, and have now issued a picture of him and an appeal. He is bald with a ginger beard.
“We believe Campbell, who is currently of no fixed abode, could be in the Shirley area of the city, although he may be moving around,” police said. “He is described as being white, of average build, and around 5ft 9ins tall.
“Officers are continuing to make enquiries in places he is known to frequent, and with people who may know him, but we are keen to hear from anyone who has seen or, or sees him in the city. Anyone with information can call 999, quoting the reference 44260070991.
“We would like to remind people that anyone found to be harbouring Campbell to deliberately obstruct our attempts to locate him may be committing an offence and be liable for arrest themselves.”
Information can also be submitted online via the police website. People can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111, or by submitting a form through its website.
