Wanted man linked to Havant "unlawfully at large" after being "released in error" awaiting burglary sentence
A wanted man is currently on the run after being released by mistake while awaiting his sentence.
William Wenham, 47, was wrongfully released from HMP Rochester this summer. The male, linked to Havant, was convicted of aggravated burglary with intent to steal in October.

Police have issued his custody picture in a bid to find him, with an extensive search now underway. Chichester Police said: “We’re searching for William Wenham, who is wanted for being unlawfully at large.
“The 47-year-old was serving a two-year sentence and waiting to face trial for an offence of aggravated burglary when he was released in error from HMP Rochester on Tuesday, June 3. “William has links to Havant, Worthing, Brighton, Peterborough, and the surrounding area. Anyone who sees him is asked to dial 999, quoting Op Equal.”
