£10,000 of damage at leisure centre
Two men have been arrested after multiple areas at a leisure centre were damaged including the children’s soft play and slide, with repairs costing more than £10,000.
Police released CCTV footage of two men they wanted to speak to earlier this week. This came after the Everyone Active sports and leisure centre, in Bar End Road, Winchester, suffered serious criminal damage in the early hours of Saturday, September 19.

The police force has now confirmed two 21-year-old men, both from Eastleigh, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal and criminal damage to property. They have been bailed with conditions, to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
During the incident, the roof above the children’s soft play area and the slide was damaged, the staff canteen was flooded, food products from the café were strewn across the floor, and an emergency stair chair was removed from its bag and discarded down the staircase.
