Travellers pitch up "unauthorised encampment" in Waterlooville

Travellers have pitched up in Waterlooville.
A flock of mobile homes and cars were seen arriving at the Berewood Estate on Thursday around 9pm.
A spokesperson for Havant Borough Council said: “We’re aware of an unauthorised encampment on the grass area as you turn into the Berewood Estate in Waterlooville.
“It’s not Havant Borough Council land, so we’re not managing it.”
Police said: “We are aware of an unauthorised encampment on Hambledon Road, Waterlooville, which was reported to us on 2 July. Officers have attended to assess the site.”
