Thug jailed for biting, scratching, and spitting at police - just after he assaulted his dad
A MAN has been jailed for an attack on two police officers – biting and scratching to break the skin – and then spitting.
James Watson, 20, admitted assault by beating, assaulting two emergency workers and criminal damage to a bedroom window in Orpine Close, Segensworth – his home address.
At Portsmouth Magistrates' Court it was revealed Watson had assaulted his father on July 4.
Two police officers, PC Thomas Ott and Kevin Riches were attending the incident when they were subjected to an attack by Watson.

District judge Gary Lucie imposed a 24-week jail term for the assault on PC Ott, and eight weeks for the one on PC Riches.
Watson was jailed for 12 weeks concurrent for the assault on his father, Andrew Watson.
But the younger Watson had breached a suspended sentence.
This meant judge Lucie jailed him for 30 weeks in total.
His previous suspended term was for six charges of criminal damage, five battery offences, a public order offence, and two assaults on emergency workers.
Reasons for jailing Watson were: ‘Offence so serious because sustained assault on officer, involved biting and scratching and skin broken and then spat upon, carrying health risk from transfer of bodily fluid.
‘Assault on father is domestic violence and defendant on suspended sentence for earlier assaults upon father.’
