Southsea man appears in court charged with murder after 'domestic incident'
The woman was found dead at the scene
A Southsea man has appeared in court charged with murder after a “domestic incident”.
Scott Langley, 48, of St Paul’s Road, appeared at Winchester Crown Court charged with the murder of Carole Langley after the 74-year-old’s body was found at an address in Cyprus Road, Fratton, on September 14.

He also faces one count of common assault of an emergency worker, which also happened on the same day.
The case was adjourned until December 21 with Langley remanded in custody.
Ms Langley was pronounced dead at the scene after police were called to the incident.
In a statement, her family said: "She was a kind and loving person who always put her family and loved ones before herself.
"She will be sorely missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, kindness and beautiful memories will live on in all of us.
"The family would like to thank everyone who has left kind messages of condolence but please ask to respect our privacy at this very difficult time."
A mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) was made in relation to the force's response to the incident.
An IOPC spokesperson said: "The force attended a report of a domestic incident where Mrs Langley was located and sadly pronounced deceased.
"We are assessing the referral and will decide whether further action is required from us."
