"Selfish" drink driver jailed after footballer Jordan Chiedozie loses leg in M27 crash
A “selfish” drink driver has been jailed after a footballer lost his leg when he was hit by a car while changing a tyre on the hard shoulder on the motorway.
Anna Malgorzata Bogusiewicz, of Park Avenue in Wraysbury, Berkshire, has been handed a prison sentence of 28 months after appearing at Southampton Crown Court today (January 23).
The 45-year-old was charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and a charge of drink driving after she crashed her Mercedes into footballer, Jordan Chiedozie, and his VW Golf on the hard shoulder on the M27.

Emergency services were called at 10.25pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025 to a report of a serious collision between junction 2 and 3 at Ower on the eastbound carriageway.
The Bashley footballer had been travelling back from Devon after a match for the New Forest based Southern League side when he got a flat tyre and had to exit his car to inspect the issue.
A court has today heard that Mr Chiedozie sustained such severe injuries after Bogusiewicz crashed into him that he was put in a coma and had to have his leg removed.
The driver previously denied the charge of drink driving when she appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court last year.
She will also be disqualified from driving for three years after her release and will need to take an extended retest before being allowed behind the wheel again.
