Protestors gathered in Portsmouth to call for justice following the murder of Henry Nowak in Southampton.
A crowd of around 50 people stood outside Portsmouth Central Police Station on Winston Churchill Avenue this evening to protest against what they perceive as two-tier policing.
It the latest protest to have taken place since the release of body-worn footage showed Mr Nowak being placed in handcuffs moments before he became unconscious and subsequently died.
Digwa, who was found guilty of murder, was given a life sentence with a minimum of 21 years in prison for stabbing Mr Nowak with a 21cm blade, which he said he carried as part of his Sikh religion.
Violent demonstrations erupted in Southampton last week with 21 people being charged with violent conduct so far.
Organisers of the protest in Portsmouth asked for it to be peaceful throughout, although they caveated that by saying that people could do what they want afterwards. A handful of people spoke to the crowd, with one tearful speaker reading out a letter they had written to Mr Nowak.
There were a number of police in attendance but there were no flashpoints with officers engaging with the protestors throughout.
