The fire sparked a large emergency service response
Police spoke to a boy aged under 10 after a high-rise blaze resulted in a large emergency service response.
Seven fire engines, five police cars, and five special fire response units were reported to attend Copperfield House on Wingfield Street around 7pm on Friday 3 July. No one was hurt.

The fire service previously said: “The fire, which involved a bin shed, was extinguished using hose reel jets. Ventilation fans were then deployed to remove smoke from the premises. Crews returned to station after the stop message was received shortly before 8pm.”
Now police have said a boy was spoken to over the incident. A spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.07pm on Friday, July 3 by colleagues from the fire service, to a report of a fire in a bin shed at a block of flats on Wingfield Street.
“No-one was hurt and the fire services reported that minimal damage had been caused. A boy under the age of 10 was spoken to about fire safety in the presence of his parents.”
