Chief Superintendent Simon Dodds, who was Gold commander for the match, said: “We understand the passion football fans have for their clubs, and the extra excitement that builds around these derby matches.
“The vast majority of fans at both matches this season were able to show their support in the right way and we're really thankful for that. We've really appreciated the support and positive comments from both sets of fans and local communities who have thanked us for helping to ensure both games could go ahead without any major disruption.
“However, we are taking action against those who have used these events as an excuse to behave in a manner that puts others at risk of serious injury.
“If you are one of the people in these photos, or know who they are, please call 101 quoting reference 44260128696."
