Police continue tackling "blight" of drug supply with Gosport raid and arrest
Police have arrested a man after carrying out a warrant as the force continues to tackle the “blight” of drugs.
On Friday, February 20 officers from the Gosport West and Central Neighbourhoods Teams carried out a raid in Carmine Court, Gosport, as part of targeted action to reduce the supply of drugs in Hampshire.

After searching the property, officers arrested a 28-year-old man from Gosport on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled Class A and Class B drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.
Jabr Shaladan, Neighbourhoods Inspector, said: “Disrupting the supply of drugs, and the blight of drug related violence, is a key objective for my teams across Gosport. By taking targeted action, we aim to reduce offending and improve the quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors.
“We ask the community to continue supporting us by telling us about any suspected drugs activity in your neighbourhood so we can safeguard children and vulnerable adults and bring offenders to justice.”
He has been bailed until Wednesday, May 20 whilst police enquiries continue. More updates to follow.
