Police called to Tesco car park in Fareham due to anti-social behaviour and Covid-19 restriction breaches
POLICE in Fareham have been called to a supermarket carpark in Fareham after reports of anti-social behaviour, with officers finding two people suspected of driving without a licence or insurance.
Officers were called to Tesco car park in Quay Street shortly before 10pm yesterday.
They found groups breaching the government’s rule of no more than six people in a social gathering, according to a spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary.

He said: ‘We had received information about groups congregating and behaving anti-socially in this area.
‘Under the most recent government restrictions, people may not participate in social gatherings, in any place, in groups of more than six.
‘Police patrolled the area, and engaged with people they came across who were then encouraged to move on.
‘They did so politely.’
Police have issued summons to two people suspected for driving offences.
The spokesman added: ‘However, we are currently investigating after two people in the area were suspected to have been driving without insurance or a licence.
‘Both of these individuals were reported for summons for these offences while further enquiries are carried out.’
