Sussex Police issued an urgent appeal on Thursday evening (September 24), which said: "Have you seen missing Eloise? The 26-year-old from Fleet, Hampshire, was last seen at 10.30am on Thursday, and may be in the Eastbourne area.”

Now police have said her body has been found. A statement from the force said: “We are saddened to report that previously missing Eloise from Hampshire has been found and sadly declared deceased.

“It follows an appeal shared on Thursday 24 September to help find her. Her next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with her family and friends during this tragic time.

“Eloise’s death is currently being treated as unexplained but not suspicious, and our officers will now continue their enquiries on behalf of HM Coroner. We thank the public for their concern and efforts to locate her.”
