Havant man who threw brick at police station and smashed a window is jailed for multiple offences
Thomas Venton also committed a string of crimes at various supermarkets.
A man who threw a brick at a police station, smashing a window in the process, has now been thrown behind bars himself.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary caught a man red-handed at Havant police station in Civic Centre Road, where a brick had shattered an outside window. In doing so, they not only found the man behind the damage, but were able to link him to a slew of offences at nearby supermarkets.

On February 24 at 8.40am, police were called to an incident at Lidl in Somborne Drive, Leigh Park. A male was causing damage in the store, had assaulted a male member of staff and verbally abused a female member of staff.
He had fled the scene, but was arrested when he threw the brick at the police station. The defendant was also wanted with two shoplifting incidents from Tesco Express in Solent Road.
Thomas Venton, 37 from Havant, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on 1 April and pleaded guilty to charges of assault by beating, criminal damage, theft, and using threatening or abusive words and/or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
He was handed a sentence of six months imprisonment.
