Man jailed for four years after entering Gosport property with a hammer

A MAN has been jailed for four years after storming into a Gosport home armed with a hammer.

Arron Doyle, 39, of no fixed address, entered the flat in Stoke Road, Gosport, in the early hours of the morning of October 25 last year.

Doyle made a series of threats following an incident which began on the street outside. He then caused damage to doors in the property before he was arrested by police a short while later.

During a hearing at Portsmouth Crown Court on August 5 this year Doyle pleaded guilty to attempted robbery and was today handed a four year prison sentence after returning to the same court.
