The drug line operated in Bognor and Sussex Police began an investigation. Officers carried out search warrants at three addresses and a storage container on January 30.

Narcotics and cash were seized at the locations. Video footage released by Sussex Police shows officers bursting into an address and detaining a shirtless Mizzi - slapping the handcuffs on him.

Mizzi, of Maxwell Road, Littlehampton, was held in police custody and charged the next day with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, and cannabis, and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property. He appeared at magistrates' court on 31 January and was remanded into custody.

The case was sent to Portsmouth Crown Court. Mizzi appeared on April 20 and pleaded guilty to all charges. He appeared before the same court on June 14 for sentencing, where he was handed a 44 month custodial sentence.

Detective Inspector Gary Jacobs said: “Illicit drugs have no place in Sussex. The supply of these substances causes immense harm in our communities. Sussex Police is committed to disrupting the supply of illegal drugs and will continue to relentlessly pursue offenders and bring them to justice to keep communities across the county safe.”
