Ex-Southsea man goes off rails again and delivers punishing attacks on woman who is strangled
A violent boyfriend with a history of going off the rails when dumped has been found guilty of punishing attacks on a woman - including strangling her.

Rowlands Castle woman beater Michael Page, 40, of Bowes Hill, has been convicted following a trial at Southampton Crown Court for a number of domestic violence offences.
Former Southsea man Page was found guilty of two counts of non-fatal strangulation, two counts of assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The menace was found not guilty of damaging property and two counts of assault by beating. The jury was hung over a charge of assault by penetration. Page was remanded in custody until his sentence, with a date yet to be fixed.
Page shot to prominence when he left a trail of destruction on the Eastern Road and Milton Road on July 3, 2022, having been involved in five collisions during a cocaine-fuelled journey with a terrified young passenger, where he was also three times the drink-drive limit. His actions left three people injured and caused massive disruption in and around the key city road.
On that occasion in January 2023 the former Southsea man was jailed for 14 months for dangerous driving and other driving offences - with his actions put down to his struggles when going through a break-up. However, it was heard that Page had undergone counselling and was making “positive changes” following the incident.
But Page slipped back into criminal ways after troubles in his recent relationship - with him now facing another stint behind bars for his unhinged behaviour.
