Man, 42, set to go on trial over rape of girl, 16, in Gosport town centre alleyway
A MAN will go on trial over the rape of a 16-year-old girl in the centre of Gosport.
Martin Butler, 42, of no fixed address, is accused of raping the girl in an alleyway off Gosport High Street last year on November 19.
The incident was reported to police on March 9.
Butler appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday over the charge.
The case was sent for trial at the crown court on October 3.
